Camp Kirk is a small overnight camp for children who have Learning Disabilities, AD/HD, and High Functioning Autism. We strive to build resilience and self-esteem in our campers by providing a supportive, nurturing, and non-competitive environment.
Quite often individual campers, or a cabin group as a whole, require extra support. This is where the role of the Support Staff is important. Support Staff are assigned to whatever area of camp that requires extra attention, time or support.
In addition to providing support to campers, support staff are expected to participate and contribute to the planning and facilitation of the overall camp routine, programming and camp life.
The dates of employment run from June 18th to August 28th. All staff members reside at camp and Room & Board is provided free of charge. The summer salary for a first year staff is $3000.
